5 Rivers

Grow. Move. Connect.

5 Rivers’ mission is to create a more sustainable supply chain that connects the dots between each stakeholder, linking farmer to consumer.

In doing so, we will build supply chains that are not only more efficient, saving time and money, but also more sustainable and socially conscious.

We want to reshape the disjointed agri-food industry. In its current form, the agri-food industry is unsustainable.

It cannot meet growing food supply demands and it disadvantages small and medium farmers thus consolidating land use and food production. Furthermore, the agri-food industry impacts the sustainability of our society and environment , with limited or unhealthy food choices, excessive fossil fuel emissions and community disengagement. The current industrial agribusiness model, while useful in some ways, cannot be the only path forward for a changing world with growing populations.

Reshaping today’s foods systems.

We build supply chains that address agroecosystems holistically. Greater efficiency saves time and money and promotes sustainable and socially conscious food delivery.

Our Team

Growing up in an urban metropolis, Eloise became passionate about agriculture in her twenties when she was working in Brazil. During that time, she focused on public health issues and realized the importance of sustainable agri-ecoystems for healthy communities. Inspired by her experiences, she continued to work with different rural communities on related issues of agronomy, rural development, and wellbeing in South America, the Caribbean, and Europe. While she is a dedicated geospatial and ecosystem services specialist, her passion continues in the fields, helping her grandfather on his farm in Bulgaria
Hamza quickly learned the beauty that comes with olives. In rural Tunisia, his family had the same olive trees for generations. Each year, he watched and joined in on the meticulous labor and insightful knowledge that comes with growing olives, and eventually, refining them to olive oil. It is with the same dedication that he continues his work as a passionate software developer. Hamza has a wide experience in mobile and web development with big companies and startups in various tech projects throughout Africa and Asia.
Growing up on a vineyard in rural North Carolina, Miguel has learned firsthand the struggles that farmers face, especially the inequalities that exist in the agricultural industry. When he is not helping on his family’s vineyard, he dedicates himself to understanding how such differences can be ameliorated through law and government. He has focused on tech and startups, as well as venture-backed businesses in his legal practice.
